Feel something is missing if the wine in your glass lacks spice, vanilla or toasty flavors? Fermenting and/or aging in wooden barrels, usually made of oak, is an important winemaking step in many regions of the world. Although some producers pursue a fresher style of wine with little or no oak influence, barrel aging is still essential to the character of many of the world’s finest wines. Join us this Thursday from 6 to 8 as we explore wines with notable barrel influence: perfect for cooler weather and heartier food. Tickets are $10 with $10 credit towards tasted wines.
